Very comfortable straight out of the box. However, that was with bare feet. With socks (very thin) they are difficult to insert my foot without the sock tightening up, dragging uncomfortably on my toes. Will try to find some 'more slippery' socks - and see if that helps. Otherwise - barefoot (ok but not ideal)
