My concern with this sandal is the small length of Velcro on the strap. Even with the new sandal it needs to be pushed in well to stick as the Velcro is only 30 to 40 long. I am concerned that this will fail prematurely. I have an older pair of Merrell sandals with much longer lengths of Velcro, and they now tends to come loose at times.
